How long does stamped concrete last?
+

With proper base, reinforcement, and sealing, stamped concrete can last decades.

Is any maintenance required for stamped concrete?
+

Cleaning and resealing stamped concrete should be done on a regular basis just like any other home maintenance. We recommend resealing only after all topical sealer has worn away and the color has significantly faded, typically every 3-5 years depending on usage and UV exposure. We can provide reseal service for you or you can purchase professional grade sealer from our retail store with do-it-yourself instructions included.

After initial installation, how long do I need to wait until I can walk on the concrete and/or place furniture on it?
+

Concrete can be walked on 24 hours after it is washed / sealed. Furniture, etc. can be placed on concrete 7 days after project completion. Slight color changes are normal the first month or two as the concrete cures.

How do I care for my concrete during the Winter months?
+

Use a broom, plastic shovel or a snow blower with a plastic cutting edge to avoid scratching the concrete. Do not use any type of ice melting products, even those advertised as “safe for concrete”. Ice melting products are known to cause spalling and if used will void your warranty. Use kitty litter or sand if an anti-skid is needed.

Is stamped concrete as strong as regular concrete?
+

Yes, we use the same PSI concrete mix just with a slightly smaller aggregate for a smoother finish.
