Cost & Pricing

Pool Cost & Pricing Questions

How much does an inground pool cost?

It varies — and anyone giving you a firm number without seeing your yard is guessing. Cost depends on pool type, size, site conditions, and how much deck and equipment you’re adding. A prefab fiberglass pool is typically the most cost-effective inground option. A custom concrete pool costs more but gives you design freedom fiberglass can’t. The only way to get an accurate number is a free on-site estimate.

What is the cheapest inground pool option?

A small fiberglass inground pool with a basic equipment package and a standard concrete deck is usually the most affordable entry point. Plunge pools are also worth considering if you don’t need a full-size swim pool. See our Pool Pricing page for a fuller breakdown.

How much does a fiberglass pool cost?

It depends on shell size, equipment, deck design, and site conditions. We offer free pool estimates — that’s the fastest way to get a real number for your specific yard.

Do you offer free estimates?

Fiberglass vs. Concrete

Fiberglass vs. Concrete Pool Questions

What's the difference between a fiberglass and concrete pool?

Fiberglass pools are pre-formed shells that arrive ready to set — faster installation, lower maintenance, fixed shapes and sizes. Concrete pools are built on-site from scratch — longer timeline, higher cost, but no limits on shape, depth, or size.

What's the best type of inground pool?

For most homeowners, fiberglass is the practical choice — faster, more budget-friendly, and easier to maintain. If you want full design control or have an unusual lot, concrete is worth the investment. We’re happy to talk through both with you.

Are fiberglass pools good? How long do they last?

Yes — fiberglass pools are durable, low-maintenance, and hold up well in Pennsylvania. A properly installed shell typically lasts 25–30+ years with routine care.

Do fiberglass pools crack?

Not typically. Fiberglass is flexible, which makes it more crack-resistant than concrete. Problems usually only come from poor installation, which is exactly why who installs it matters.

Installation

Pool Installation Questions

How long does it take to install a pool?

A prefab fiberglass pool typically takes about 4 weeks. A custom concrete pool runs closer to 8. Weather and permitting can affect both timelines.

Does Concrete Authority handle the deck too?

Yes — and it’s actually one of the main reasons people hire us. We handle the complete pool and deck installation under one contract. No coordinating with a separate concrete crew.
